Clarence was born Feb 17, 1919, BroadTop Township, Bedford County, PA.
He entered service Nov 17, 1942
He was shipped overseas in October, 1943 to join the 401st BG
Glee as Sergeant College was known to his many friends, was well liked by all who knew him.

His last mission, Dec 31, 1943, Target: Cognac, France, the aircraft was hit by flak over the target and had to leave formation.
At this point it was attacked by some enemy fighters and was last seen smoking and diving into the clouds.
Wreckage of the aircraft was found out beyond St. Catherine's Point on the South of England.
Unfortunately Clarence didn't survived this crash.

He was awarded with an Air Medal and a Purple Heart Medal

In 1943, when Clarence died on the age of 24 he left behind his family :

His brother, Cloyd J College
His brother, Robert F College
His sister, Pearl J College
His sister, Mearl C College
His sister, Allice P College
