Albert was a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces 38th Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group.

Albert A. Albino enlisted in Grays Harbor County, Washington for WWII. He was a Second Lieutenant in the Air Corps. Lt Albert Albino was a fighter pilot in the 38th squadron, 77th Fighter Group. His plane, P-38 Lightning tail number 42-67051, "Spirit of Aberdeen", was shot down over Holland on 29 November 1943.

Originally reported as Missing in Action, but the addition of a 'rosette' by his name indicates that his remains were subsequently recovered and he rests now at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
