TSgt. Lee served as waist gunner on B-24 Liberators. He had completed five missions when on a mission to Friedrichshafen, Germany, in B-24 #41-29331 'Blondie's Folly', the crew was attacked by multiple fighters that seriously crippled the bomber. Unable to make it back to England, the crew baled out over the Channel. There were no survivors.
