Son of Harold Rigdon and Velma Alfreida Gordon Rigdon.

Paul, who resided at 202 Ohio Avenue, Elsmere, Delaware, served as a Private First Class with Company C, 423rd Infantry Regiment, 106th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on February 28, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as a Machinist and also as being Single, without dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" in Germany during the war.

He had served in the Army for ten months at the time of his death and was awarded a Purple Heart.
