He joined the army & was killed in action during WWII. A part of the 36th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Armored Division Rank-Private.
He was awarded the Purple Heart, World War II Victory Medal, Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII.
Two of his brothers also served in WWII.
His brother Leo Gauthier also served in the US Army during WW II and died in 2008.
