Edmond Joseph Dionne was the son of Abraham and Marie-Henriette (Pinault) Dionne. He had six brothers and 3 sisters.

Edmond served as a Private, 48th Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on August 18, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted as being employed as a Carpenter and also as Single, without dependents.

Edmond was "Killed In Action" in the Battle of Overloon, Germany during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
