Retired employee of Wheaton Glass Co. as an Inspector/Packer. Before Wheaton's he worked as a loom fixer for the Millville Mfg Co or as everyone called it "the Cotton Mill". He was a WWII Army Veteran. He had 3 brothers, Harry, Lawrence and George and 5 sisters; Elsie, Emma, Katherine, Hilda and Bertha. Survived by his wife Gladys, 2 sons, Albert Harry (Butch)Beebe of Millville and John Tozour of St Pete Fla
Bert was always happy and you usually found him humming some song or whistling one he might have made up.
He liked his Piels beer and he loved his family very much.
He was the type that liked to "tinker" around with things just to see if he could fix them. Usually he could.
He would walk down the street and find an old rusty nail or maybe a screw and would have to pick it up and bring it home because you never knew when you might need it. He had coffee cans in the basement with all kinds of old rusty nails, bolts, washers and screws in. (I still have some of them myself).
Bert had no trouble making friends, he liked almost everyone he ever met. He worked long hours to provide for his family and I think he always worked a part time job along with his full time job. I can't ever remember him calling in sick at any job. I can't think of anything he wouldn't try....wallpapering, panelling, painting, car repairs, roofing, putting down a new floor, suspended ceilings....he did it all. He could even fry an egg on occasion...glad I liked them burned !
