Member of the 485th Bombardment Group, US
Army Air Corps. From Burley, Idaho.

Was living with his wife Barbara in Southgate,
California at the time of his departure for
overseas duty to Italy on April 1, 1944.

The Liberty ship he was aboard, SS Paul
Hamilton, was attacked by 23 German
bombers off Algiers, in the Mediterranean Sea
on the night of April 20, 1944, and exploded
and sank in 30 seconds with the loss of all
aboard.
