He resided at 75 Myrtle Hill Pk., Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

He declared "Missing In Action" when the B-24 Liberator bomber in which he was flying en route from Libya to Naples crashed into the Mediterranean sea for an unknown cause. He was awarded an Air Medal and a Purple Heart.
