Brother of Walter Smith who resided in Milan, New Hampshire.

Paul served as a Private First Class, 917th Ordnance Automotive Maintenance Company, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Coos County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on April 6, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a watchmen and also as Single, without dependents.

Charles died in the "Line Of Duty" of a non-battle related incident in Tunisia during the war.
