21 December 1916 - 20 April 1944

***

Lee served as a Staff Sergeant, 831st Bomber Squadron, 485th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II. He was a passenger on the S.S. Paul Hamilton that was sunk during the war.

This record is a "CENOTAPH" in his honor!

Left by Russ Pickett #46575736 on 17 Apr 2019.

NOTE: The word "Cenotaph" means "Empty Tomb" – this represents the fact that many of the fallen were never found or couldn't be identified and so could not be buried. The Cenotaph gives people a place to mourn and remember them. OMJB.
