Regis served as a Chaplain, Order of Saint Benedict, with the U.S. Armed Forces in Northern Africa during World War II.

He resided in Pennsylvania prior to the war.

He died during the war .... cause currently unknown.

His next of kin was noted as his nephew Eugene R. Murphy who resided in Youngstown, Pennsylvania.

Regis also has a "cenotaph" in the Holy Cross Abbey Cemetery, Fremont County, Colorado.
