PAUL SHASSETZ

Paul Shassetz, 55, Sheridan, died Saturday, June 1, at Sheridan.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Sheridan.

Mr. Shassetz, a former resident of Rock Springs, left this city in 1945 to make his home in Sheridan. He was born Sept. 11, 1913, in Monarch coal camp, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Shassetz.

He father died in October 1925, following an auto accident.

Paul Shassetz attended school in Monarch. When the coal mines closed in Monarch, he moved to Rock Springs and worked for the Union Pacific Coal Co. until his move to Sheridan.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Balen; three sons, Paul Jr., Johnny and Carl; one daughter, Patricia, and mother, Mrs. A.E. Boyak, Sheridan; stepfather, Andrew Boyak, Sonoma, Calif.; four brothers, John and Raymond Shassetz, both of Rock Springs; Andrew Shassetz, Cheyenne, and Archie H. Shassetz, Martinez, Calif.; one stepbrother, Eugene Boyak, Sonoma, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Emilia S. Elliott and Mrs. Tom Faccio, both of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Victor Frolick, Soldatna, Alaska; one uncle, Andrew Shassetz, Sheridan, and several nieces and nephews.
