Lancaster aircraft #D 714 missing during night operations over enemy-held territory. F/O E.F. Dynarski, FS E.A. Applegate, Sgts W.E.F. Clark (RAF), C.N. Clay (RAF), J.L.A. Mulligan (RAF), and F.G. Sayers (RAF) were also killed. Flight Sergeant Air Gunner Bakeman is buried in the West Cemetery, Le Mans, Sarthe, France.
