James T. Moseley was an intellegence scout in the Revolutionary War and was the brother-in-law of Sgt. William Jasper, of Fort Moultrie fame. He was a respected woodsman, and is, to a degree, an Upstate South Carolina hero. He had a large family and lived to a ripe age.
His grave is located in the middle of the woods near the Pacolet River and the marker was replaced in the early 20th century by the local DAR chapter after the original marker was washed away in a large flood. The grave has recently been restored by an eagle boy scout. There appear to be other graves, but no other markers.
