It is with great regret that we record the death of Private Albert Bee, only son of Mr. William Bee, of Ropsley. Deceased was a promising youth and was greatly esteemed by all who knew him. He had many young friends in the village, who, together with his relatives, deeply deplore his loss. The news was conveyed to his father by a letter from the Chaplain, who stated that Pte, Bee was killed instantly, on November 22nd, while carrying ammunition to his Company at the back of the lines, the deceased was 20 years of age and had been in the Army about 10 months, Much sympathy is felt for the relatives in their sad bereavement.
