Son of Henry and Annie (nee Mackenzie) Taylor, of Huxley Cottage, Point Vernon, Pialla, Queensland. A labourer prior to enlisting on 25 September 1915, he embarked from Brisbane, aboard HMAT "Itonus" (A50) on 30 December 1915. He died of wounds in France, aged 29 years.
