Acting Corporal Reuben Gorodetsky, D-83173, The Black Watch (R.H.R.), of Montreal, died of injuries on August 21, 1944, according to an official announcement. He was buried in the Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian Military Cemetery, France.

Acting Corporal Gorodetsky enlisted in January, 1942, and went overseas in May of the same year.

Born in 1918, Acting Corporal Gorodetsky was the son of Mrs. G.
Gorodetsky of 5356 Jeanne Mance Street. He was educated at Devonshire School and Baron Byng High School. Before his enlistment he was vice-president of his local of the International Fur and Leather Workers’ Union. His wife resides at 5352 Park Avenue.
