Wedgeport - Monday morning, Rev. Father Michel Doucet, priest, sung a solemn requiem mass for soldier Louis G. Cottreau who has just been killed at war in Italy, according to a message received by his mother, Mrs. Josephine Cottreau. The Reserve Corps of Wedgeport, under the command of the 2nd Lieutenant Cyriac I. Boudreau, assisted in the guard of honour. The soldier Cottreau had had been in the army for two years. He was 27 years old and he leaves, other than his mother four sisters, Mrs. Alfred Newell of Plymouth, Mrs. Vernon Garson of Sydney, Mathilda and Jane of Yarmouth. Another brother, Austin, is in the army in Italy. His father, Murray Cottreau, died only a few weeks ago.
