She was the daughter of Col. Artemus Howe (1753-1800) and Susanna Warner (1767-1844). After Seraph's father died, her mother, Susanna, married Gov. Moses Robinson (1741-1813), her husband's father. In 1804 she married Fay Robinson (1783-1815) and they had 2 daughters.
