Ensign Fellows was lost in the fog on a return flight to his Carrier on 8-31-1945 while serving as a Pilot for the Navy. He was classified as dead by the Defense Dept. on 9-1-1946.

He is the son of Mrs. Nina Fellows of Pekin, Illinois, and the husband of Mrs. Maxine {Murphy} Fellows of 506 West Lake Street in Peoria Heights, Illinois. There are no children. He is a 1940 graduate of Pekin Community H.S., and was in the Navy by August of 1942, and commissioned a 2nd Lt. at Pensacola, Florida in July of 1944, and overseas in May of 1945, and lost by August.
