Grandfather of 6 children and Great Grandfather of 2.

Donald, who resided in the Kenlyn Apartments, Newport, Delaware, served as a Captain and Company Commander of the 302nd Medical Battalion, 77th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

Donald was "Killed In Action" while evacuating invasion casualties on le Shima of the Ryukyu Islands.

He had served in the Army for two years and eleven months at the time of his death.

Donald was decorated with the "Silver Star", Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in the Le Shima Cemetery, Ryukyo, Retto and was later repatriated here on March 4, 1949.

After Donald's passing his wife Elizabeth was re-married to a "Krismann" and he adopted both of the children. Donald Theodore Cheff was renamed to Theodore Cheff Krismann and his sister Teri Roberta Cheff to Roberta Cheff Krismann.
