Donald served as a Technical Sergeant & Central Fire Control on a B-29 #42-24742, 874th Bomber Squadron, 498th Bomber Group, Very Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided 112 Penhurst, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

Donald was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-29 bomber failed to return from a mission over Kyushu Island.

He was awarded the "Distinguished Flying Cross", Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Purple Heart.

Service # 12166882

He also has a cenotaph at the Grove Place, Cemetery, Chili, New York with his parents.
