He was killed in an aircraft accident at Bir-El-Baheira Egypt.
Blenheim aircraft T.2124 was circling the landing ground at Bir-El-Baheira prior to commencements of an operational flight when it collided with another aircraft (Blenheim Z.7991), crashed, and burst into flames.
