Martha was Married to William Henry Beck (1839-1887) who was wounded by a mini ball through his hip leaving him crippled for the balance of his life. He served with the CSA In the civil war and was furlowed home after his wound. No record that I know of tells of his burial place.
Martha applied for and received widows benifits after his death. She is buried in the Old Abe Springs Cemetery about a fourth to half mile into the woods straight accross from the New Abe Springs Church Cemetery. There are only two or three graves identifiable there now, of which hers is one.
