SUSIE LADD, 95, dies this morning.
Mrs. Susie LADD, 95, a former resident of Berne, died at 6 a.m. today at the Decatur Community Care Center. She had been in serious condition for two weeks.
She was a member of the Berne Nazarene Church.
Born in Adams County on 9 May 1878, she was the daughter of Issac and Kathryn GEHRIG-GRIMM, and was first married to Hosea MARTZ who died on 1 January 1950. She later married Fred LADD and he died in August of 1964.
Surviving are one niece, Mrs. Orval ALLSPAW of Berne, and two nephews, William E. STAUFFER of Fort Wayne, and Edward MEYER of TACOMA, Washington, One brother John GRIMM, and six half sisters and one half brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Yager Funeral Home, with Rev. Darwin PRESSLER officiating. Burial will be in the M.R.E. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
