Robert Bragg was killed as a result of an explosion. He died on a medical ship the next day and buried at sea off the coast of Anzac Cove. He was the younger son William Henry Bragg and his wife Gwendoline Todd Bragg . His father and older brother Lawrence were the 1915 Nobel Prize in Physics, which was announced about three month after Robert's death. His mother mourned for him the rest of her live. In his father's collection of personal papers archived at the University of Adelaide in South Australia, Robert's military record and other documents can be found.
