Cynthia was the daughter of Jarius and Susannah Alexander Curtis from New York and Vermont. She married William Courser/Coarser from New York on 3 July 1836 in Wood County, and had 7 children: Susan M., Curtis, William H., and John who died of diverse causes and Sarah (1836-1872)(Rideout), Harriet (Webb), and Charlotte (Shatto)(Krueger) who survived the cholera epidemic that claimed their parents. Cynthia and her husband may be buried in the same lot.
