Albert W. Boring, 46, of Erie, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Boring of 317 West Seventh Street, and a member of the Sate Police force for the past 25 years, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Bailey Thoracic Clinic, 247 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, following an operation on his heart. He had been ill for the past year.

Born May 7, 1904, in Falls Creek, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Boring, he received his education in Falls Creek and the local schools and was graduated from the Oil City High School. He also attended the YMCA College in Springfield, MA.

He was employed for a short time by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company before joining the State Police. He was stationed with the Erie barracks.

He was married to Eleanor Miles, of Meadville, who survives. Also surviving besides his wife and parents are two sons, Dick, 12, and John, eight, of Erie; three brothers, James of Plummer; 2nd Lt. Marvin Boring, U>S. Army now stationed at Seattle, WA, Robert Boring, student at Slippery Rock State College; two sisters, Janet, (Mrs. Kenneth Green), Oil City, and Ruth (wife of Col. M. C. Dorney), of Berkley, CA.

A grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie Clark, 90, and two aunts, the Misses Minnie and Bessie Clark, all of Du Bois, also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Warren Funeral Home, Erie. Interment will be made in Winter Green Gorge, Erie.
