Found guilty, Zeitoun, 4 March 1916, of (1) disobedience of an order, in that he absented himself without leave from 14/2/16 to 23/2/16; (2) an act to the prejudice of good order and military discipline, in that he broke away from escort, whilst under close arrest: awarded 168 hours' Field Punishment No 2.
Taken on strength, 60th Bn, Duntroon Plateau, 20 April 1916.
Admitted to 8th Field Ambulance, Ferry Post, 29 April 1916 (cellulitis), and transferred same day to 14th Field Ambulance,; discharged to unit, 14 May 1916.
Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.
Reported Missing, 19 July 1916.
Court of Enquiry, held in the field, 4 August 1917, pronounced fate as 'Killed in Action, 19 July 1916'.
