Son of David Watson and Catherine Armstrong of 53 Stanley Street, Richmond, Victoria. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 10 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne for overseas on 23 November 1915 aboard HMAT "Ceramic" (A40). He was killed in action, aged 24 years.
