Pvt. Ares G. Antonio, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Antonio, who reside at San Antonio, was born in Louisiana, Jan. 2, 1890. He enlisted in 1918, and was assigned to Co. A, 142nd Inf., 36th Div. Trained at Camp Travis. Went to France in June, 1918, and was killed in action. Private Antonio was awarded the Croix de Guerre for bravery in action.
