Clara was the daughter of Wilhelm and Anna Grace Reineke, who were born in Hannover, Germany. Following are her brothers and sisters:
Fritz born in Germany, name changed to Fred, Anna also born in Germany (she and Fritz came to the US in 1857 trough the Port of New Orleans with their parents, then came north to Montgomery County, IL where Wilhelm began to farm.)William who died young, Clara, Henry Edward, Cena Alice Reineke Hutchinson, Matilda Reineke Goulden, Marie who died around 11 years, and George.
She and her friend Clara Hitchings has their own millinery shop. After that she went to Montana where Judge Henry Dalton came to ask her to marry him. She went back to Vernon County, Missouri where they were married. After he died, she went to Denver to live with her sister Cena Hutchinson. Eventually Anna Reineke was brought to Denver where she died and buried beside her sister Clara.
