Musician. Born in Sheffield, England, he was best known for being the co-lead guitarist and songwriter for the popular British rock band, "Def Leppard". In January 1978, he joined "Def Leppard" and was a constant mainstay until his death. Nicknamed "The Riffmaster", he contributed to the band's music and lyrics. He was a major factor on the group's most successful albums such as "Pyromania" (1983), "Hysteria" (1987) and "Adrenalize" (1992). He died at age 30 in London, England.
