Anderson: ( b. Dec 18, 1911, d. Jun 1, 2001) Oscar J. Anderson, a native and long-time resident of northwestern Adams County, died Friday, June 1, 2001, in Spokane. He was born Dec 18, 1911, on the family farm between Ritzville and Odessa, the son of Barbara and Charles Anderson. he graduated from Ritzville High School in 1933. He married Ethel C. Vostral on Oct 17, 1939. They resided at Electric City and Portland, returning to the family farm after WW II. He was a member of St Agnes Catholic Church in Ritzville. In 1979 they retired to Spokane after farming in the Schoonover area for 35 years. Interment was at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, one sister, Lillian Schafer of Lind, and numerous nieces and nephews. (notes from Odessa Record: 6-07-2001)(NTS)
