Husband of Glenice Keller Farmer who resided in Rockville, Knox County, Maine during the war.

Noyes served as a Lieutenant, Junior Grade, USS Norman Scott (DD-690), U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in New Hampshire prior to the war.

Noyes was "Killed In Action" when the Norman Scott was hit six times within a few seconds by counterfire off Tinian during the war. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in the Saipan 27th Division Cemetery, Mariana Islands and was later repatriated here on March 17, 1949.
