Having actually gone "Missing" on the above date, he was not officially declared by the military as being dead until December 18, 1945, 1 year and 1 day after he went missing as was the custom.

Frank served as a Second Lieutenant & Pilot on P-51C " Miss Behavin' " #44-10801, 16th Fighter Squadron, 51st Fighter Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided Essex County, New Jersey prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on April 1, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Driver and also as Single, with dependents.

Frank was flying in a "ferrying" mission with other P-51's from Chengkung, China to Chenkiang, China when he disappeared.

Frank was declared "Missing In Action" while on this mission during the war.
