The funeral services for Mrs. Susie Harper, 96, of Alapaha, who died October 3, 1986, were held at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church in Berrien County, Ga. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Born May 17, 1890 in Irwin County, Mrs. Harper was the daughter of the late Steve and Jane Tucker Roberts. The widow of Henry D. Harper, Mrs. Harper was a homemaker and farmer and had lived in Irwin and Berrien Counties all of her life. She was a member of Empire Baptist Church in Lanier County, Ga.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Essie Swilley and Mrs. Eloise Aaron of Alapaha, and Mrs. Alma Nix, Nashville; a brother, Elisah Roberts, Nashville; and two step sons: J. B. Rowe of Albany and Waldo Rowe, Jacksonville, FL.,Sixteen grandchildren and several great grand-children and a number of great great grandchildren also survive.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
