Mrs. Minnie Cantley, widow of the late S. L. Cantley of California, Mo. passed away at her home Monday, January 27, 1959, at the age of 87 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday with the Rev. R. W. Furkin and the Rev. R. L. Connelly officiating. Interment was made in the Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Cantley was born in Gasconade county on March 05, 1871, a daughter of the late Herman Henry and Louise Isenberg. On June 15, 1899, she was united in marriage to S. L. Cantley, who preceded her in death in 1958. One daughter born of the marriage, Elma Williams, was killed in an automobile accident in 1942.

Mrs. Cantley lived several years in Owensville where her husband was superintendent of public schools and was later associated with the Farmers & Merchants Bank. He was later made receiver for the Joint Stock Land Bank in St. Louis and them made their home there until 1953 when they moved to California. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
