Myrtle Corilda Hunter was born to Will and Armeda Carr Hunter of March 2, 1888 near Springview and died November 17, 1973 at her home in Springview at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She was married to Lewis J. Boyd, and to them were born three sons and one daughter. She later was married to Jack Gibson.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She loved to read and was interested in national and community affairs.
Survivors include three sons, Harold of Winner, South Dakota; Merlon of Springview; and W.D. of Commerce City, Colorado; one daughter, Mrs. Meda Felton of Springview; one brother, C.E. Booth, Thousand Oaks, California; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchidren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held November 21 at the United Methodist Church in Springview, conducted by the Rev. Howard Rice and the Rev. Clyde Wells. Organist was Mrs. Doris Weddel. Pallbearers were D.C. Evans, John Nolan, David Van Metre, Lloyd Lawrence, Lyle Graesser and C.W. Ripley.
