452nd Bomber Squadron, 322nd Bomber Group, Medium. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He also had a twin brother, U.S. Army 2LT Edward Robertson Norton who was KIA with his Twin brother on the same mission in a Martin B-26 Marauder
