Henry "Henryk" served as a Staff Sergeant & Right Waist Gunner on B-17G #42-31443, 532nd Bomber Squadron, 381st Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Schenectady County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on April 16, 1942 in Albany, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Farm Hand and also as Single, without dependents.

Henry was "Killed In Action" when his B-17 was shot down by German Fighters and crashed near Bielefeld, Germany while on a mission to Oscherleben, Germany.

He was awarded the Air Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.

He also has a "Cenotaph" in the Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery, Schenectady County, New York.
