Amanda Melvina Bulle was born December 25, 1815 at Ellenville, N.Y. was united in marriage to Obediah Brown July 4, 1831. To them six children were born they being J.R. Brown and Elvira Denison, of Stockholm, O.T., Mary Brown, and Emily Thompson, of Centerville, N.Y. and Celinda Powers of Pretty Prairie, Kansas. Her husband preceded her in death some twenty-four years. She leaves 29 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren. Her funeral was conducted by Rev. A.E. Smith at her late residence six miles north of Kingman and her remains were laid to rest in Sego Cemetery. (Kingman Leader Courier, Kingman, Kansas 24 July 1902
