Jacqulyn Ann Dorsey, 60, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at Pioneer Retirement Community.
She was born Dec. 23, 1939 in Montevideo, to Ralph and Myrtle (Christianson) Wait. As a child she moved to Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. She then attended Wahpeton State College of Science where she received her LPN Degree.
On July 19, 1967, she married Robert Dorsey in Aberdeen, S.D. They lived in the Minneapolis area where she was employed at the Herman Nursing Home for a short time and then worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis for 13 years. In October of 1981, they moved to Fergus Falls and she worked at Lake Region Hospital for two years, 1982-1984. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; her mother Myrtle Wait of Fergus Falls; two sons, Rob (Carrie L.) Dorsey, Jr. of Dalton, and Rick (Carrie A) Dorsey of Fergus Falls; five grandchildren, Sarah, Keri, Brittany, Michael and Jacob; two sisters, Laureli (Dave) Firtgerald of Weatherford, Texas, and Margaret (Richard) Klestinez of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother Roy Wait of Minneapolis; and a niece, Renee Wood of Benbrook, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Wait.
Visitation: Monday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home in Fergus Falls and one hour prior to the service.
