On Friday, August 1, 1930, at his home in Orchard, occurred the death of Mr. John Herman Hinsch, one of the most prominent and beloved citizens of that little place.
Mr. Hinsch was born in Hanover, Germany March 9, 1854. At the age of 18, he came to America and made his home at Hull, Iowa. He was married to Miss Bertha Busch of that city and to this happy union four children were born.
Mr. and Mrs. Hinsch moved to Orchard in the year of 1894, where they have since made their home. Mr. Hinsch was held in high esteem by his large circle of friends. He was indeed a fine man who stood for everything that was good in his community; he loved and respected his family and friends. Surely another good Christian gentleman has gone to his reward, that of perfect rest and happiness.
Deceased is survived by his wife; four children, Willie and Fritz Hinsch, and Mesdames Ella Sager and Alma Hansard.
Funeral services were held at the Foerster Funeral Home in Rosenberg Sunday morning at 9 o'clock and at the grave in Orchard at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C.W. Schlechte, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church. A large concourse of relatives and friends were present to pay a final tribute to this worthy gentleman.
Foerster Funeral Home of Rosenberg had charge of funeral arrangements.
