Husband of Theo Juanita (Long), married 17 Nov., 1931 in Princeton, Missouri.
Father of Alene & Shirley;
Son of Austin Edgar Woods & Catherine Elizabeth (Perkins) Woods, part of a large family with eleven children. He was number 10 in the birth order; three died as children: Beulah, Josie, and Herman at age 13.
He spent most of his life in Russell, Lucas County, Iowa; spent some time living in the Denver area of Colorado also. Kenneth drove a rock truck for many years to make a living for himself and his family. He loved gardening, both vegetables and flowers, and always had a large patch of perennial petunias in the yard. He was also handy at fixing things and was happy to come over and help out when needed.
All of his siblings preceded him in death; wife Theo in 1996. Kenneth continued living in their home in Russell, Iowa until his health began to decline and he went to live in the Chariton Nursing & Rehab facility. He is fondly remembered as a pleasant and kind man, much loved by all who knew him.
