Mr. Bennett, who died Sunday evening of pneumonia, was alone when stricken, and lay two days without food, fire or medical attention. His absence was noted by relatives who investigated and discovered his condition.
Mr. Bennett was born at Roosa Gap January thirtieth, 1873. His parents were Livingston and Rachel A. Clark Bennett. He had lived in this village for a number of years. His wife, who was Mabel Baxter, died a few years ago.
Mr. Bennett is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Samuel Taylor of this village, Mrs. Emma Doyle of Providence, R.I., and Mrs. John Kelleher of Hartford, Conn. There are also several nieces and nephews.
Interment was in Bloomingburg rural cemetery. Pall bearers were Edwin Moore, George [illegible, possibly Hood or Ford], Charles McCune and A. N. Owen.
