Selah (Cela, Celia) Scholl married James Evans 23 Dec 1800 Clark Co., KY. Her father, Joseph Scholl, gives his permission for his daughter to marry James Evans and signs the document. James Evans Sr as well as James Evans Jr signs the document (see Marriage Bond, Cely Sholl to James Evans 23 Dec 1800, Clark Co., KY ).

Selah Scholl Evans' husband, James Evans, is listed in the 1810 Census of Clark Co., KY. 1820 James Evans, Jr.'s probate record, Inventory, appears in Clark Co., KY. Cealy (her mark) Evans is noted on the document (see Kentucky Probate Records, 1727-1990, Will Records 1820-1825, Vol. 5, p 159).

In 1821 Cela Scholl Evans signs her daughter's, Lavina Evans, consent to marry John Muir. Brother Septimus Scholl also signs the document (see Marriage bond, Lovina Evans to John Muir, Clark Co., KY 1821, Cely Evans gives consent).

1831-1833: Sometime within this time period Selah 'Cely' Scholl Evans and her two sons, Hezekiah and Daniel Evans, along with niece Sarah Holliday Kelly and her family moved to Morgan, now Scott Co., IL. This estimated arrival date is based on the birth year and birth state of Hezekiah Evans' and Sarah Holliday Kelly's children.

1835: Cely 'Cela' Scholl Evans dies 27 May 1835 in Winchester, Morgan now Scott Co., IL In the 1835 State Census of Monroe Co., IL, enumerated June 1835, Hiram Kelly, Mary Kelly, Hezekiah Evans are living next to each other respectively. In 1839 Scott County, where they all lived, was created from Morgan county in Illinois.
