Death - The Lanark Era - Oct8,1919 -
Powassan, Ontario, Thursday, October 2nd, Mrs. Robert Duncan, aged 77 years. Born in Lanark County, she was the daughter of the late James Reid, of Watson's Corners. Married over fifty years ago, they had a family of eight children. Mr. Duncan died some fifteen years ago. Six of the family survive; James B. Duncan, Powassan; Mrs. R.E. Parsons, Carleton Place; Mrs. David Ferguson, and Mr. R.H. Duncan, Alberta; Mrs.William Purdon, and J. Frank Duncan, at Powassan. Also two sisters and three of her brothers survive; Mrs. Wm. Duncan, sr., Reston, Manitoba; Mrs. John Stewart, Loreburn, Saskatchewan; Mattew Reid, Reston, Manitoba; Thomas Reid, Rainy River, Ontario; and John Reid, in BC. Burial in Crawford's Cemetery.
