Mr. Floyd Ellis Allen, 66, of Dover Church Road, Mount Airy, a retired employee of National Mount Airy Furniture, died at 5 pm Thursday in Northern Hospital of Surry County, where he had been a patient for one week.
Born April 13, 1921 in Patrick County, Virginia, he was the son of Ambrose Dexter and Laura Haynes Allen.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Mae Gwyn Allen; three daughters, Mrs. Glenda Mahaley Hyton of Woolwine, Va, Mrs. Teresa Darlene McMillian of Pilot Mountain and Mrs. Delia Mae Reece; four sons, Ernest Harvey Allen, Robert Lee Allen, William Ellis Allen and Franklin Ambrose Allen; 12 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ella Mae Allen.
